Production
Control System Features of Kura Diesel Motor Works
Company
Production Control System refers to all or part of the Company’s quality system
that satisfies the requirements laid out and as well as the relevant product
standards.
Below
are the features of Kura Diesel Motor Work Production Control System and how it
will function.
1. The
company should undertake immediately an increase in Jigs and fixtures. The jigs will provide
repeatability, accuracy, and interchangeability in the manufacturing while the fixtures
will hold the work in a fixed location. In the absence of fixtures, jig does
both functions (holding the work and guiding a tool).
2. The
company should purchase updated machine tools - High production single purpose
machines. This will enhance productivity and overall performance of Kura Diesel
Motor Works.
3. There
should be proper control over production – this will prevent weakness and thus improve
production operations.
4. Proper
utilization of the machine time available- to avoid many bottlenecks that exist
in the plant. Thus, that will solve the trouble
of the improper utilization of the machine.
THE COMPANY WILL
DERIVE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS WHEN THE PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM IS IN
OPERATION
a.
High-in-process inventory, as indicated
by piles of partially completed parts over the entire manufacturing floors
areas.
b.
Presence of any record concerning the
whereabouts of orders in the process from their initiation to delivery at
assembly.
c.
Acceptable number of rush orders,
particularly in assembly but also in parts manufacture.
d.
Elimination of many parts choosers who
force orders through the shops by pressure methods.
e.
Less setup costs resulting from none
piece-meal methods.
f.
Perfect working components parts to
reach the assembly at approximately the same time.
g.
Definite sequence of manufacturing
operations for a given part.
THE POSITION OF
THE FOREMAN WHEN THE PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM IS IN OPERATION
He
could be given a second chance to get things right or be fired due to too many
bottlenecks and his inability to control the system.
